Did you know there are TWO baptisms for ALL Christians?
Water

Supernatural Power, Passion, Zeal (Fire)
The church today (as a whole) is experiencing the same situation it encountered years ago. It is ENTIRELY possible to be very good at the Word, teaching, knowledge, etc.
AND YET, STILL
Be UNKNOWLEDGABLE and UNLEARNED in an area the Lord has
DECREED
AND
ESTABLISHED!!
TWO BAPTISMS!!
NOT - JUST - ONE!!
It is just a fact!!
Here is your scriptural example!
"And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly" - Acts 18:24-26
Apollos was:
Eloquent
Mighty in the scriptures
Instructed in the way of the Lord
And
Spake and taught diligently
YET
Still needed instruction, concerning the baptism AFTER the baptism of John!!
You can get a lot of it 'right'...yet still not get it all 'right'!!
SO

I'm about to use some VERY SPECIFIC words here:
EXPLANATION>
TWO Baptisms-
The FIRST baptism is WITHIN (that's for salvation). It shows that you have truly repented and the Holy Spirit has come in you. You then confess that to the world, through waer baptism.
The SECOND baptism is UPON. You receive the Lord's gift for you (baptism of the Holy Spirit), so you can then walk in His power.
SCRIPTURE>
TWO Baptisms-
"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear . . . " -Matthew 3:11
Continuing:
" . . whose shoes I am not worthy to bear, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire" - Matthew 3:11
EXPLANATION>
TWO Baptisms-
The first water baptism is for the physical body
The second fire baptism is for the spiritual body
TWO Baptisms-
The first water baptism shows the physical world you are now saved. This baptism gives you a totally, brand new, fresh start-in God.
The second fire baptism shows the spiritual world you can now do what Jesus did. This baptism gives you power.
SCRIPTURE>
IN:
"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be
IN HIM
a well of water springing up into everlasting life" - John 4:14
OUT OF:
"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
OUT OF
his belly shall flow ('flow' . . . tongues) rivers of living water" - John 7:38

Think About This:
Why would our Lord, after rising from the dead and subsequently breath HIS Spirit into His disciples
"Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost" - John 20:21, 22

AND THEN RIGHT AFTER THAT
Subsequently order them to go get a SECOND "upon" experience, with the Holy Spirit??
[ Acts 1:8 and Luke 24:49]
UNLESS HE WAS FOLLOWING the same pattern, truth and instructions that had already been expressed in the scriptures??
You know the answer to that!!
HE DID THAT BECAUSE THERE ARE:
TWO BAPTISMS
TWO INFILLINGS
TWO EXPERIENCES!!
TWO INFILLINGS
TWO EXPERIENCES!!

So, to bring all this to it's final conclusion I'm going to address the few questions that come up:
1) First, the ONLY requirement to receive the second baptism-The Baptism of the Holy Spirit- is to simply be saved.
After that, the order of receiving the Holy Spirit baptism or getting water baptized first does not matter. In scripture it happened in both ways
2) Second, every time in scripture that people were prayed for, everyone prayed for received the full gift, right then.
This negates two thoughts that are out there.
A) The first incorrect thought out there is that in order to receive the gift, sometimes you will have to "tarry" to receive it. This is simply not true. Once the gift/promise was poured out, it has remained here on the earth for anyone to receive it (after salvation, of course).
The issue on this one is not 'tarrying'. The issue is, simply, proper teaching :)

B) The second issue is that not everyone that prays for it will receive it, right then. This is simply wrong again, according to scripture. The qualification to receive the gift, by faith, is to simply be saved first.
Period.
Once the gift and the promise has been 'poured out' [Acts 2] it has been here, since then, for everyone who gets saved
-and then asks for it.
EVERY ONE
EVERY TIME
